We believe that Young Adults' meetings are important for encouraging young people who are committed to growing in their faith. We desire our young adults to be active and fruitful members of the church who are 'equipped for every good work'. 2 Timothy 3:17.
We meet on the 1st, 2nd and 4th Saturday evenings of each month for training from the Scriptures. Such training is specific to the young adult years. This training includes teaching and discussion about Christian living, service and worship.
There is a particular focus on Christian foundations for those aged 17-20 years, effective ministry for those aged 21-23 years and leadership and fellowship for those aged 24-25 years.
Our meetings also give young adults the opportunity to encourage and minister to each other through song, prayer, testimony and teaching.
Our young adults are actively involved in all areas of the church, including the Sunday morning communion service, Sunday school teaching, various men's and women's initiatives and the home fellowship programme.
Recent events include attending a combined christian courtship seminar in Brisbane, a 4 wheel drive adventure day which concluded with a campfire dinner, and a sports social day.
